Summer Bundy

Summer Bundy is the Director of Projects at OneShoreline. With more than 26 years of expertise in environmental engineering and program management, Summer has led climate vulnerability and adaptation planning efforts for agencies such as the Port of San Francisco, Metro Vancouver, the City of San Diego Stormwater Department, and the City and County of Honolulu. Her deep expertise spans climate science, vulnerability and risk assessment, urban coastal resilience, strategic planning, multi-disciplinary engineering, facilitating multi-agency collaborations, and engaging with communities. 

At OneShoreline, Summer spearheads multi-jurisdictional policy, planning, and design projects focused on flood risk reduction and advancing equity. She holds an M.S. in Energy Policy and Climate from Johns Hopkins University and a B.S. in Environmental Resources Engineering from Cal Poly Humboldt. Summer is a certified Envision Sustainability Professional (ENV SP) and holds the Waterfront Edge Design Guidelines (WEDG) certification from the Waterfront Alliance. She is a former board member of SPUR and currently serves as a Planning and Transportation Commissioner for the City of San Carlos. 

Prior to joining OneShoreline in November 2024, Summer spent over 22 years as an engineering consultant at CH2M Hill, Carollo Engineers, and Stantec, in addition to four years working for the State of California on water quality and water resources issues.
